AGE DIFFERENCES ✔
these are always okay if the other party is older than ray, or a little younger – with the caveat that i will not write any kind of ship with a character who is underage. this includes characters who are usually underage but have been 'aged up' temporarily (for example, for a brief period of time as a result of an in-game event or something). however, proper AUs where the character being written is consistently over 21, and is not going to 'age down' again in future, are fine.

FIGHTING AND INJURING absolutely, but i assume we'd have something planned out first. ray wouldn't shy away from a physical fight and is kinda on the scrappy side, but he's a trained US marine so he knows how to throw a punch. i can definitely see him accidentally on-purpose provoking or insulting others into a physical fight, so if that's IC for your character, let me know and we can hash something out!
MAGIC AND POWERS sure! ray has none of this but would be deeply amused by all of it, so go ahead. i understand that for people writing powered characters, playing the same "magic is real?!" threads over and over can get boring, so if you want to handwave for the sake of variety, let me know and we can talk about how it panned out!

OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS AND TRIGGERS with friends and strangers, ray's not afraid to speak his mind, call bullshit when he sees it, and be an obnoxious jackass. this may include saying a couple slurs here and there – see the 'content warnings' bullet in the next section for more information on this. he doesn't take insults coming the other way very seriously, although this depends on context and tone.

CONTENT WARNINGS interacting with ray might involve mentions of (either in introspection or dialogue): descriptions of war and PTSD. considering the nature of ray's canon, his dialogue may include homophobic, sexist and/or ableist slurs. i will warn for all these topics should they come up, but feel free to opt out down below if you would prefer they not come up at all. comments are screened.
BACKTAGGING always! i function by backtagging so i more than understand if things get picked up and dropped here and there. handwaving stuff that drags on for too long will always and forever be an option!
THREADHOPPING sure! if it's (non-private) texting conversations, it's always fine, but i'd prefer if you asked first if it was a log thread!
FOURTHWALLING basically, i would prefer not to.png! if your character is that type, like deadpool, then that's more than fine, but i don't really want to write threads that boil down to 'oh my god, you look just like james ransone, i loved you in the clown movie!' or whatever because they stop being interesting pretty quickly.
